Denise Ing's work often assumes the guise of easily recognizable objects. She aims to draw viewers in with the familiar then challenge their preconceptions with mismatches and discrepancies. Through the dissonance between what is assumed and what is seen, viewers are encouraged to question their assumptions and elevate themselves above the mundane.
